Julia and I (that's me Randy) were in China teaching English as a second language for 3 years and Julia did for a while in Japan as well. After which she did a Radio Program with AWR. She is the linguistics person in this family, I, well I am sort of the jack of all trades person in the family. I do most of the internet work for her and I along with a few other websites as time permits. You will have to send her a few e-mails and encourage her to write more often. I am not sure how long this will be up before she gets to see this and gives me a hard time about it. But, in the meantime you can get the feel of what she has to put up with. I can drive her pretty crazy from time to time and if you have been listening to her programs for any period of time you will probably understand this a bit better about what I am writing. Here is a picture of us while we were in China. This picture was taken just outside of Hangzhou. At a place up in the mountains that we liked to go to and hike as we had the time. We are now back in the states, where we are working on our property and I am trying to learn how to become a gardener. There is a lot more to that then gardening and you discover a lot about life you had not thought about until you start to do it. Julia loves to collect the produce and thinks that the fruits that they bear are all quite cute, I think they are tasty and a lot of work. I gave a presentation once talking about culture shock. The best example that I could think of was the culture of men and women. When you get married is when you have your first serious encounter with culture shock. After the honey moon is over the learning takes on a new dimension you hand never thought about and that learning is about the new culture of marriage. Amazing thing that marriage. Aside from all of what we think is frustration the lessons learned are precious and I personally would never want to give them up. In spite of the pain we think we encounter the truth of the matter is the ego has a hard time learning what it means to be humble, men and women learn from each other in the culture of marriage of what it means to be humble. Well I rambling on here, we are glad that you stopped by and give me some time and we should be able to get up the 100+ radio programs my loving wife did and as time goes along we should be able to give you the lessons as well. God Bless
One of these days I will get some pictures up of our property and let you take a look into our back yard.
